Background
Street adolescent and youths- males and females are vulnerable to sexual exploitation and abuse, which puts them at a higher risk of sexually transmitted infections including HIV/AIDS, unintended pregnancies and unsafe abortions. Worse still, they have limited access to and utilization of family planning and HIV/AIDS prevention services due to lack of information. In addition, health services are rarely designed to meet the needs of street children, moreover, health workers only occasionally receive special training in issues pertinent to adolescent sexual health.
