Background
In Zambia today, 15% of all pregnancies end in abortion. In 2005, statistics from Hospital Gynae records at MGH indicate that only 14.2% of post abortion patients were linked to HIV/STI Services. Of these, only five (5) % received counseling on HIV. Abortion in Zambia remains illegal, unless medically indicated. PAC service provision at Mansa General Hospital is done in isolation with no direct linkage to HIV/STI services and other support services. There is therefore need to strengthen this linkage and increase access to these services
